2019 is winding down, 4 more days until 2020.  A new year and a new decade. It went by so fast. So much happen. I had my ups and down, but I survived and striving to be my best self.

At the end of the year I like to sit down and write down all my wins and reflect on everything I accomplished over the year. I go through my calendar to see what I have done because I forget what I did in the beginning of the year.

Here are some of my accomplishments of 2019:

-Try aerial yoga

-Started this blog, Budget to Be Free

-Won a Scholarship to go to FinCon

-Taught a workshop on how to have fun on a budget

-Paid off my undergrad Student loans

-Paid extra $1,000 towards my car loan

-Save 1 month of living expenses

I am so proud of myself of all the accomplishments I achieved. I also turned 40 year old this year. I am blessed to see another birthday! I went to Disney World and was a kid again. I had so much fun.

Write Down your Wins and Celebrate

Get a piece of paper and write down off all your small and large wins. Also write down the new things you have try. Don’t worry about all the stuff you didn’t get to accomplish. Reflect on what went right.

Can you believe all the things you have accomplished? Taking the time to reflect on your wins and be proud of yourself on how far you have come. I wrote a whole page of all the things I accomplished. But the mistake I made was not celebrating the wins during the year because life happens.

When I look back at my list, I was so proud of myself on what I did. I pushed pass the fear and procrastination to a point and got things done. Don’t get me wrong I still procrastinate but I am actually doing the work. I use to not do anything, wanted to learn everything first and want it to be perfect before I did anything. It’s something I am working on daily. One of my goals for the new year is to plan more so I can use my time more wisely and get more done.

Please take the time to reflect and celebrate your wins! Also take time to write out your goals for 2020. Put reminders in your calendar at the end of every month so you can celebrate your wins during the year. I am going to buy a planner to celebrate my wins and it will help me plan better in 2020.

What are you going to do to celebrate your wins of 2019?
