I am so excited I won a full scholarship to go to FINCON in Washington D.C. FinCon is where money and media meet. FINCON is a big conference for financial bloggers, influencers, podcasters and youtubers create better content. You can read more about FINCON here https://finconexpo.com/.
I learned about the conference last year and have been wanting to go ever since. Since I am on their emailing list, I received an email for an opportunity to win a scholarship to go to the conference. I just had to be a new blogger and didn’t registered for the conference as of yet. I met the criteria since starting Budget to be Free this year.
I had to push past my fear and submitted my new blog for consideration. I usually would have talked myself out of it. I was afraid because I knew my blog wasn’t where I wanted it to be. But with God and the support of my husband and the Be Free inner Circle, (a community of like-minded women that help pursue your goals). I push pass my fears, wrote my essay and push submit.
I was so happy when I received the email about getting the scholarship. I am ready to learn from others and getting better at this thing called blogging. I am excited to see and meet other personal finance bloggers that I have been following for years. It’s crazy how big this community is, there a lot of people I don’t know but ready to meet and learn from them.
I have downloaded the app and trying to choose which breakout sessions I would like to attend. There a lot of good ones at the same time.
I am excited about the possibilities!
